Maggie Crowe

nursing ’23

A Florida native, Maggie Crowe applied to Clemson after her sister challenged her to explore the unknown in her college search. A campus tour helped differentiate Clemson from other schools; Maggie felt that Clemson would not only provide a memorable four years but a strong foundation for her future. She originally explored a pre-pharmacy track but ultimately chose nursing because of its broad career path and opportunities to provide direct patient education and care. Following graduation, she began working in an intensive care unit at a hospital in South Carolina.

Kenneth Sloane,

industrial engineering ’21

An interest in navigating complex processes led Kenneth Sloane to study industrial engineering, a field that emphasizes efficiency and optimization. He found that the skills he learned in the classroom could also apply to his leadership style as he joined the undergraduate student senate and the Asian Student Association. With the ASA, Kenneth grew membership, planned events and held officer roles. These experiences of collaboration and problem-solving served Kenneth well after his time at Clemson, and today, he works as an industrial engineer at a biotechnology company in South Carolina.
