Su-I Chen holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics and has previously taught general linguistics, phonetics, and phonology at universities in Taiwan and the U.S. before joining Clemson. Currently, she serves as a Principal Lecture of Chinese at Clemson University, where she teaches courses on Chinese language and culture. In addition to her teaching duties, she fulfills roles such as director of the language lab, advisor for Language and International Business (Chinese) majors, the advisor for senior portfolios for language majors, and website master for the Department of Languages. Her research interests include pedagogy in Chinese language, the use of films in language and culture classes, and the application of technology in teaching.
