Professor Cheryl Hosler is instructor of dance in the Department of Performing Arts and founder of the department’s dance offerings. She serves as Director of the University Dance Company and teaches classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Modern dance. Professor Hosler earned a dance performance degree from The Ohio State University where she was a member of the nationally acclaimed University Dance Company. While at OSU, she studied with several distinguished choreographers including Bebe Miller, Karen Bell, Rosiland Pierson, and Mark Taylor. She has over 35 years of dance teaching and choreography experience, and nearly 20 years of experience as a high school and college flag line and twirling instructor. She has also choreographed several high school and college musicals. In addition, she is the owner/artistic director of Cheryl’s Dance Studio in Central, SC.
