Bruce Whisler

Bruce Whisler was Director of Audio Technology and a Professor in the Department of Performing Arts at Clemson University for 22 years. He earned the Doctor of Arts in Music from Ball State University in 2002 with emphases in music theory/technology and music performance. His professional affiliations include the Audio Engineering Society, the Association for Recorded Sound Collections, and the International Trumpet Guild. From 1990-95, he was the chief recording engineer for the Ball State University School of Music and has recorded hundreds of live performances, many of which have aired on regional and National Public Radio. In 2020, he completed a long-term project consisting of four CDs of historical recordings by the New York Brass Quintet.
