Shaw Sullivan was a master's student specializing in German history, with an emphasis on religion and culture in Modern Germany. Shaw’s thesis is on Martin Luther’s theological writings and his influence on Protestants in Nazi Germany. He examines Martin Luther’s writings in which he expresses anti-Judaic beliefs and how German Protestants in the Nazi era responded to these writings, particularly the anti-Nazi Confessing Church and the Pro-Nazi German Christian movement. Shaw was a Teacher’s Assistant for Dr. Terry’s World Regional Geography and Dr. Jeffries’ Early U.S. class. Shaw also attended Clemson University for his Bachelor’s degree in History and minored in Geography and Religion.
