Internship Information
“In my courses I studied examples of women leaders, including how they dealt with challenges and acquired leadership skills. More importantly, the professors and advisers I met through the Women’s Leadership major encouraged me to question which of my own behaviors and those around me stem from societal gender roles – and whether these behaviors might be limiting in the professional world. I learned not to apologize when asking questions, to make sure I receive credit for my ideas, to be bold when networking and pursuing opportunities, and to approach new challenges with confidence in my own abilities. I’m grateful for all that I learned as a Women’s Leadership major and everything that the major has helped me accomplish in the past four years.”
