Profile

I am a nurse with 12 years of experience caring for pregnant women and their newborns in a variety of settings, from an acute inpatient and high-risk environment in New Jersey to low-risk inpatient and birth center care settings in South Carolina. After earning my Masters in Nursing Education in 2019, I began a professional relationship with Clemson University's School of Nursing as a clinical instructor. That role transitioned into a Lecturer position beginning Fall 2019 teaching Nursing Care of Women and Their Families (NURS 4120) and running the obstetric simulation for that course. My dual professional passions include nursing care of women and nursing education. I have earned National Certification in Inpatient Obstetrics, verifying expertise in the care of antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum women, fetal monitoring and newborn care. I am also a Certified Nurse Educator, a title that denotes excellence and commitment to the scholarship of teaching and learning, and a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator. I am a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, the National League for Nursing (NLN), the American Nurses Association (ANA), and the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN). I enjoy spending time kayaking with my husband or hiking together with our two dogs. We appreciate the beauty of the SC mountains and lakes and love to be outdoors. I also love reading, yoga, and cooking and baking for my family and friends.
