Profile

Developed more than two decades of professional expertise in various forms of resilience. This was accomplished through work in a variety of settings, including schools, religious organizations, community-based organizations and corporate entities. What is clear is that education is invariably a part of the resilience pathway in the body and in organizations and communities. My research now includes how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted normal human development for children and young adults and how academic engagement demonstrates re-engagement after COVID-19. We ultimately hope to find effective strategies to help teachers enhance resilience by improving academic engagement.

Research Interests

Positive psychology approaches to collective trauma among frontline personnel, courage, and development in adolescence.
