Logo for the Department of Automotive Engineering

In the eighth generation of the Deep Orange program, graduate automotive engineering students at Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) were tasked with developing, engineering and realizing a smart, autonomous, highly integrative Motionboard. The modular platform enabled design flexibility for purpose-built future mobility concepts for the year 2025. The Motionboard’s functions include traction, braking, steering, energy storage, charging and autonomous driving
