Dr. Sreeprasad Sreenivasan joined the automotive engineering at Clemson University in February 2016 as a Research Scientist. His research interests are centered on materials science and nanotechnology, with a particular focus on post-synthetic property tuning for targeted application in Energy, Environment, and Sensing. Before joining CU-ICAR, he worked as a research fellow at Rice University, Houston, TX, and as a postdoctoral research associate at Kansas State University.
Dr. Sreeprasad received his B. S. and M.S. from M. G. University, India and the Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology. He is the recipient of Prof. Ramamurthy Award for the Best Thesis, national rank holder in graduate aptitude test in engineering (GATE), and a gold medalist for M.S. and B.S.
He is an author of more than 40 peer-reviewed journals including Nature Communication, Nano Letters, Advanced Materials, etc. He is a co-inventor of two patents and eight patent applications. He has authored or co-authored three book chapters as well. He is a well-cited scientist with more than 1300 citations and an h-index of 21. Dr. Sreeprasad's research results are frequently highlighted in the news including The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Science Daily, The Engineer, IEEE Spectrum, NanoWerk, Phys Org, etc.
He has served as invited guest editor for various journals and is a consulting editor for "Nanotechnology, Science and Applications".
