Between Undergraduate and Graduate enrollment, we have nearly 500 students in the Bioengineering program. Although the first Undergraduate degree only recently came about in 2008, we awarded the first Graduate degree in 1967. To expand on the history of Bioengineering at Clemson, the University is considered the birthplace of biomaterials, with the Society For Biomaterials beginning in 1974 at Clemson University.
