Professional
Gokhan Ozkan received his B.Sc. degree in Electric Education from Marmara University in 2006, and B.Sc. (as a valedictorian) and M.Sc. degrees in Energy Systems Engineering from Erciyes University in 2014 and 2016, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida State University in 2019.
He joined Clemson University as a Postdoctoral fellow in 2020, and he is currently a Research Assistant Professor in Holcombe Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering since 2021. He is also manager of Real-Time COntrol and Optimization Laboratory (RT-COOL).
His main research interest is model predictive control in power converters and drives, active thermal management and fault-tolerant control, distributed controls, power and energy management, renewable energy and smart grids, transportation electrification, real-time power distribution system modeling, simulation and hardware-in-the-loop instantiation.
