Professional
Prior to joining Clemson University in 1985, Dr. Schalkoff was an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. From 1976 - 1977 he was an engineer for Exxon Production Research Company, Subsea Systems Section, in Houston Texas. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), a member of Tau Beta Pi, Eta Kappa Nu and Sigma Xi, and a Fellow of the Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE). His primary scholarly interests are in intelligent systems and computing.
