William J. Reid joined the faculty of Clemson in 2000 as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Clemson University in 1988, 1990, and 1997. His Ph.D. dissertation dealt with the soft-decision decoding of BCH codes.
Before returning to Clemson, he worked as a test engineer for Ryobi Motor Products, Inc. and as an embedded systems designer and programmer for Dixie-Narco,Inc.
He has taught courses in digital design, computer architecture, circuit theory, and random signal analysis.
