SCOTT KAUFMAN is a Lab Technologist in the Machining and Technical Services' Fabrication Shop. He assists in designing and fabricating projects with faculty and students, including installing and repairing lab equipment and installing and recalibrating fume hood alarms.

SQUIRREL FEEDER PROJECT: Fabrication of on-campus squirrel sterilization feeder -Department of Forestry
SOLAR RECHARGING STATION: Assist with the fabrication of the solar recharging station

- Mig Welding
- Skilled in forming metal by operating shears, press brakes, notches, ironworkers, rollers
- Lab equipment and Vacuum pump troubleshoot, repair, and rebuilds
- Skilled in the setup and operation of high-tech welding machines
- Experience with setup and operation of Laser Welding
- Consult welding practices to best serve the student and researcher in their goal of a finished product
