TraCR Inspires Future Innovators at City of Greenville Tech Fair
On May 6th, 2024, TraCR participated in the City of Greenville Tech Fair, an event focused on engaging the low-income community of Greenville, South Carolina. Ronnie Chowdhury, Ph.D. and his team conducted a technology demonstration for the participating students and their parents, highlighting the vast opportunities in transportation cyber-physical systems technology and its cybersecurity.
The discussions emphasized the rewarding career paths available within cybersecurity, outlining the qualifications and skills required to enter the field. The primary goal of the TraCR demonstration was to inform the community, including students, about cybersecurity and inspire them toward high-demand jobs in cybersecurity.

TraCR Engages with STEM Students through Summer Cybersecurity Workshops
TraCR hosted two cybersecurity workshops for STEM students during the summer of 2024, collaborating with the Benedict College Summer Transportation Institute (STI) and the City of Greenville Summer Camp.
These workshops introduced students to the foundations of cybersecurity and motivated participants from middle school to senior year of high school to consider a career path in this field.
Through interactive sessions and real-world scenarios, students were introduced to key cybersecurity concepts, such as network security, ethical hacking, data protection, and hardware security.
By fostering a supportive learning environment, TraCR sought to inspire these young minds to pursue further education and careers in cybersecurity.

Exploring Quantum Computing and Cybersecurity: TraCR at Benedict College Summer Event
TraCR attended the Benedict College Cybersecurity and E-sport summer event, where Ronnie Chowdhury led a workshop. During this session, Chowdhury informed the students about cybersecurity and highlighted the critical role quantum computing will play in the future.
A technology demonstration was also conducted, providing students with a hands-on experience and a glimpse into the cutting-edge advancements that are shaping the future of cybersecurity.

Ronnie Chowdhury visited Claflin University on October 17th, 2024, for the Graduate and Professional School Visitation Day to talk about careers in cybersecurity. During his visit, Chowdhury engaged with students from STEM majors, sharing insights about the dynamic and rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity. He emphasized the need to safeguard critical digital and physical infrastructures, the increasing demand for skilled cybersecurity professionals, and the diverse career opportunities available in the field.
