Hobcaw Barony

Working in collaboration with the College of Charleston, and the Belle W. Baruch Foundation, WLCC researchers documented the Marrietta Burial ground using terrestrial laser scanning and terrestrial photogrammetry. Using these digital technologies WLCC researchers were successful in recording the burial ground’s landscape without impact the material culture associated with individual burials. This work pushes forward the use of digital visualization technologies for the recording of sensitive historic cultural landscapes.
