Sly Peoples describes himself as a leader, innovator and collaborator. He has over fifteen years of experience in finance, marketing and product creation. Peoples has worked with some of the world's largest and best-known sportswear brands and uses a blend of science and art to create.
Before joining Edelman, Peoples helped Adidas Basketball Footwear with tactical growth strategies and creative storytelling. He also worked to establish Adidas' new up-and-coming stars, Donovan Mitchell and Trae Young, through creative footwear stories and brand positioning.
Before Adidas, he worked as the Sr. Business Director and Head of Product at Super Heroic, where he led all product creation and business strategies.
Peoples led Brand Strategy and Product Creation at Russell Athletic early in his career. Through collaboration, creative marketing and new product creation, he brought relevance back to the brand.
Being a Clemson grad, Peoples claims South Carolina is his home even though he was brought up in the Army and lived in Germany, Italy, and Japan. People continue to travel, but when he isn't traveling, he enjoys playing golf, hanging out outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Peoples is also a guest lecturer in the Erwin Center courses.
