Gay and Lesbian Identities
"Gay" and "lesbian" are both terms to describe same sex/gender attraction. "Gay" is a term often oriented towards men, but can be used as a more expansive sexual orientation term as well as to describe same sex/gender attraction. "Lesbian" is the term to describe a woman who is emotionally, romantically, sexually, affectionately, or relationally attracted to other women.

Trans and Non-Binary Identities
Gender identity is a topic filled with variety. Though some of us have been taught that gender (man/woman) and physical sex (male/female) are synonymous and the only options, there are lots of identities, including trans identities (identities describing people whose gender does not align with the sex they were assigned with at birth) and non-binary identities (identities on the spectrum of gender identities that are not exclusively labeled "man" or "woman" - identities that are outside the gender binary.
