The Clemson Extension TEACH Center at The Citadel Mall is a dynamic space dedicated to community-based Extension programming. "TEACH" stands for Training, Education, Agriculture, and Community Health, reflecting our mission to provide educational resources, hands-on learning, and outreach to the Charleston community and beyond.

Conveniently located just off I-526, the Citadel Mall offers an accessible and welcoming space for clients, complete with ample free parking. The Clemson Extension TEACH Center is in the Belk wing of the mall.

Our Services
Services available at the Clemson Extension TEACH Center include gardening support and soil testing. The Tri-County Master Gardener Volunteers (TCMGs) staff the TEACH Center and are available to:
- Answer gardening questions and provide expert advice
- Accept soil samples for testing
- Assist with free seed selection from the Clemson Extension TEACH Center Seed Library, sponsored by Botanical Interests™
Master Gardener Hours:
- Monday - Friday
- Morning: 10 AM - 1 PM
- Afternoon: 1 PM - 4 PM

Need To Test Your Soil?
As a convenience, a soil sample drop box is located at the front entrance of the TEACH Center and is accessible during mall hours. Instructions and supplies for processing and paying for samples online are posted above the drop box.
Citadel Mall Hours:
- 10 AM - 8 PM Mon-Sat
- 12 PM - 6 PM Sun
What You Need to Know:
- Bring 2 cups of dry soil in a plastic zip-top bag (clearly labeled) or in a soil sample bag.
- Raised bed garden? Bring a quart-sized baggie full!
- Pay online or by check (No cash!)
- Soil samples are $6 each
- We do not accept plant or insect samples at this location!
