Dr. David Feliciano is an associate professor of Biological Sciences and member of the Center for Human Genetics. He served as a visiting professor and scientist at Harvard University and Boston Children’s Hospital, completed postdoctoral fellowships at Yale University in cellular and molecular physiology, neurosurgery, and neurobiology and was educated in Pharmacology and Toxicology at the State University of New York at Buffalo. His research addresses the mechanisms of brain development and neurodevelopmental disorders. He created the course Neurobiology of Diseases and has taught classes including Neurobiology and Nervous Systems.

Dr. Feliciano is an internationally recognized expert on the neurodevelopmental disorder Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC). Dr. Feliciano has generated several TSC models and developed therapeutic approaches based on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of disease progression identified in these models.
