Amin Khademi is an associate professor of industrial engineering in the College of Engineering, Computing , and Applied Science. He has focused his research on modeling health care problems through his interest in operations research. His scholarly interests include operations research, and medical decision making. Khademi works to develop models to aid decision and policy-makers in developing treatment and medical allocation strategies. His research helps decision-makers take multiple trade-offs and factors into account while also helping prioritize patients’ access to treatment. His research is even able to look into the future by helping decision-makers predict the impact of difference policies for health care challenges, such as infectious disease control,design of clinical trials, and organ transplantation allocation rules. Khademi's research supports and enables key decision-makers in health care to make informed, systematic decisions about impactful and complex health challenges.
