About
Meredith Morris did her graduate work on Trypanosoma brucei, which causes African sleeping sickness, and her postdoctoral work on the parasite that causes toxoplasmosis, Toxoplasma gondii. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Genetics and Biochemistry Department, where she teaches Principles of Genetics and Molecular Biochemistry. Her work is currently focused on the molecular cellular biology of T. brucei with the purpose of finding essential parasite processes that can be targeted for drug development.
