Dairy Cattle imports to follow current Federal Rule

CVI - Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (valid for 30 days)

Official Individual Identification

Brucellosis - Free State - Farm to farm, no test. All others, test within 30 days.
Tuberculosis
- Free State - Farm to farm, no test. All others, test within 30 days.
Certified Accredited Herd
- Put herd number and date of last test on CVI.

Rodeo Bulls - Brucellosis tested once a year unless used for breeding purposes, then they must be tested within 30 days. Also, they must meet above requirements.

Private Sale or Breed Sale - From farm in a TB and Brucellosis-Free State, no test required by Livestock Poultry Health Division. Sale may require test. We suggest testing within 30 days for it may be required of the state of destination.

NO TEST REQUIRED ON ANIMALS UNDER 6 MONTHS OF AGE.

CALFHOOD VACCINATION NOT REQUIRED

Tattoos and brands are NOT official ID for purposes of interstate movement into SC for cattle.
