Quarantines are the state’s way of creating virtual boundaries that might limit the movement of a pest or pest host throughout the state. They are an important tool utilized by Plant Protection in protecting uninfested areas of our state from localized pests, as well as protecting us from pests not known to occur in South Carolina.
