Construction Sciences & Management (Rising 10th-12th)
Course Description
Campers will participate in home-building exercises under the supervision of qualified construction personnel learning core principles of the industry. Camper will be introduced to construction skills such as – Framing – Concrete pour – siding – plumbing – mechanical - electrical. Campers will learn about safety in the construction industry. – Campers will learn BIM (Building Information Modeling) 3D Mapping of construction projects, the infrastructure of projects, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing. Campers will be introduced to construction industry equipment and shown the basics of equipment operation. Blueprints reading for both Residential and Commercial construction.
Course Requirements
- Close-toed shoes
- Long pants
- No tank tops or shirts with fringes for job sites
- Safety equipment and PPE will be provided to all students on job sites
