For this project, I chose to design the education center portion of the site. I wanted this area to have an emphasis on children's education and development, so the main portion of my area proposed is an interactive children's garden with educational elements interwoven throughout. I have divided it up into three different areas of play and learning: the ropes course, the children's village and the woodland education zone. My site is centered around three Sustainable Sites Initiatives: conserve and restore native plant communities, support physical activity and promote equitable site use. Although the initiatives apply to the whole site, each area is specifically assigned a metric to represent.
