Ina B. Durham High School Ethics Case Competition
About Our Ina B. Durham High School Ethics Case Competition:
Clemson University's Ina B. Durham Annual High School Ethics Case Competition provides high school students with a methodical approach and solve ethical dilemmas. Teams consisting of two high school students propose a solution to an ethical dilemma using Clemson University STAR ethical decision-making model in front of a panel of professional judges. Up to two teams per high school are allowed to compete.
Next year's face to face (F2F) competition will be held in-person on Friday, March 7th 2025 and the virtual competition will be held on Friday, March 28th 2025 where a new set of winners will be chosen.
2025 Case Competition Information Packet
Reasons to Participate:
- Obtain exposure to ethical dilemmas in life
- Understand that dilemmas occur everywhere and every day to everyone who makes choices
- Learn about dilemmas that do not have clear cut answers
- Obtain and improve decision-making skills in pressured and hurried situations at a leadership level
- Get a jump start on resume building
- Network with other high school students, Clemson University students, staff and faculty
- Feel pride in participating in a rare and productive event
- Win up to $200 per student-competitor!

Ethics Case Competition Registration Information
Registration for the 2024 competition has closed.
Registration for the 2025 competition will open September, 1st 2025.
