Welcome to the Nook

Roar and Restore

The Nook is an employee-focused pantry, designed to support faculty and staff who may be experiencing food insecurity or financial hardships. The Nook serves as a place where Clemson faculty and staff can feel comfortable getting assistance in a respectful, compassionate and confidential manner. Whether you are in need of support or are looking to volunteer to help colleagues in need, we look forward to working with you!

What is The Nook?

Created in 2024 out of a growing need, the Nook is Clemson University’s employee-focused pantry. The Nook provides a variety of essential items, from non-perishable food items to toiletries, household products and other necessities. The Nook is a physical representation of Clemson’s dedication to all-around well-being for every member of our community, joining together to help fellow Tigers who may be in need.

Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Other times are available by appointment.

The Nook follows the University holiday schedule.

Accessing The Nook’s Services

Who Can Utilize The Nook?

The Nook is open to Clemson University faculty, staff and graduate students. While designed to support the University’s employee population, students in need will not be turned away. Undergraduate and graduate students may also access the services provided by the Paw Pantry.

Where is the Nook?

The Nook is located on the west side of campus on Klugh Avenue, next to the Parking and Transportation Services Building. The location is marked with signage to help colleagues find the space.

Short-term parking for the Nook: From Heisman Street, enter parking lot E-5. Short-term parking for Parking Services is located at the southeast corner of the lot, closest to the Facilities building – this parking can be used for visiting the Nook.

Entrance to the Nook: The entrance to the Nook faces Klugh Avenue, next to the Parking and Transportation Services Building. Look for The Nook signage marking the entrance.

How You Can Support the Nook

Inventory Donations

The Nook currently stocks non-perishable items, household goods and hygiene products. Please reference the lists below for suggested donation items. 

Host a Food Drive

We appreciate the support provided by our community to support our Clemson colleagues in need! If you are interested in hosting a food drive, please email thenook@clemson.edu. Our team will work with you to provide donation boxes, additional resources and pick up your donations, if needed.


Volunteer

The Nook is operated by a team of volunteer employees across divisions and colleges at Clemson University. If you would like to support The Nook through volunteer opportunities, we look forward to working with you! Opportunities may include stocking shelves, picking up donations and recognizing our donors through thank you notes and other campaigns. If you are interested in volunteering, please email thenook@clemson.edu.

Make a Monetary Donation

The Nook is solely funded by donations. Please consider making a one-time donation through the Clemson Giving portal or a recurring donation through payroll deduction (select “Other: The Nook, B4890”).
