He is also employed by multi-disciplinary firm LS3P Associates in Columbia, South Carolina, and is a licensed professional engineer. Harrison graduated from the University of South Carolina College of Engineering and Computing in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has substantial experience in the research and development, design, and manufacturing aspects of product development, and is credited as an inventor of US 11,160,483 B2 and other pending patent applications. In 2018, however, Harrison paused his formal engineering career indefinitely to explore an interest in architecture. Harrison was awarded a Master of Architecture degree and a graduate Certificate of Digital Ecologies from Clemson University in 2021. He is the recipient of the Martin A. Davis Award, Edward Allen Student Award, a South Carolina AIA Honor Award, and the AIA Henry Adams Medal. Harrison uses his knowledge of and passion for design and fabrication to help students develop and communicate their visions through digital and physical tools. He is also particularly interested in human-powered transportation and garbage.
