Academic Support
Advising
With you every step of the way
From career planning to community building, the College of Architecture, Art and Construction offers many resources for current students as they complete their degrees. The CAAC Undergraduate Student Services staff:
- organizes activities for prospective students considering the College.
- helps students plan study abroad experiences.
- supports the efforts of the College’s advisors.
- sponsors the CAAC Ambassadors program.
- plans Orientation, Convocation, Family Weekend and other student-centered events.
For department-specific assistance and academic planning, students should contact their assigned advisor. These advisors may also refer students to appropriate campus resources as needed.
Faculty Advisors
Most advising in the College of Architecture, Art and Construction occurs between students and their faculty advisors, who are housed in their respective departments. Meetings take place at least once per semester, and this one-on-one advising begins at Orientation and continues through graduation.
Students can make an appointment by contacting their advisor directly. Advisors are listed in CU Navigate. If there is no assigned advisor, students may email the lead advisor for their major (listed below) for more information.

CAAC Student Services Advising
While most advising matters are handled by faculty advisors, CAAC Student Services can assist with problems or concerns students may encounter, including, but not limited to: navigating a double major or dual degree; understanding a university policy or procedure; connecting with a university resource or service; or handling a concern about a current advisor.
CAAC Student Services also houses advisors for global engagement. Our global engagement advisor can assist with determining programs that fit academic goals and navigating steps necessary to study abroad. CAAC Student Services staff members can also connect you with specialized pre-professional health advising.
