Rick is a Fellow in the AIA, and a Principal with R&B Architecture. Rick served for 22 years as the National Design Director at Beck, the largest integrated architecture and construction firm in the U.S. Prior to establishing architecture at Beck, Rick spent seven years as the Design Principal at Urban Architecture and nine years as an Associate Partner at Kohn Pedersen Fox. At KPF he led the design of four significant built projects, including 311 South Wacker in Chicago, at the time the world’s tallest concrete building. Establishing architecture at Beck, a 110 year old construction firm, he focused on design and integration. Projects he oversaw have won more than 17 local and regional AIA awards. Beck has won the Dallas AIA Firm of the Year twice, and is the only firm to win both that title and the Builder of the Year in the same year.
