A passionate business and real estate professional who has accumulated 14 years of real estate development related expertise including; ground-up real estate development management, LEED and ARGUS Certifications, financial analysis and modeling, architectural design work, construction management, and property management assistance.

Presently, DJ is the Senior Director of Development for Greystar’s South Carolina office and is responsible for the South Carolina based ground up development business, including the sourcing, capitalization, permitting, construction and execution of development projects.

Prior to joining Greystar, DJ was the Vice President of Development at Middleburg Real Estate Partners, responsible for managing the full-scale development process for over 2K+ mixed use multi-family and single-family units (with total project costs of $350MM+) across the South East. Development management duties include site identification/analysis, financial underwriting (acquisition/disposition), land acquisition, construction process and cost management, design review, project delivery-to-management turnover, and final asset disposition.

DJ earned a master’s degree in real estate development and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Clemson University, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
