Professor Lynn Craig FAIA, RIBA served as the Director of Architect Relations for the School of Design and Building at Clemson University where he joined the faculty in 1981. Craig taught at the undergraduate and graduate design studio levels and has been the Resident Faculty in Genova, Italy. Professor Craig assisted in establishing the NCARB/IDP in South Carolina is a Past President of AIA South Carolina. Professor Craig has been a program speaker at the AIA National Convention, the AIA National Grassroots in Washington, D.C., the National Science Teachers Association National Convention and the Destination Marketing Association International Convention. Professor Craig's research interests focus on Green Building Design, Sustainable Environmental Planning, Campus Master Planning, Trends in Professional Practice and Hand Drawn Graphic Communication.
Professor Craig received his B.S. Degree from Clemson University and Masters of Architecture and Urban Design from Washington University in St. Louis. His professional career as an architect and urban designer began in Baltimore, Maryland where he worked for RTKL and the City of Baltimore. Craig later joined the English firm of Abby Hanson Rowe and Partners for ten years where he had award-winning projects throughout England. Sustainability and ecological sensitive planning are fundamental to his design philosophy as evidenced in his receiving Second Place in the UIA, International Planning and Design Competition for Porto Santo Island [Maderia/Canarias Island], and was a member of the Master Plan Design Team for the Uluru Tourist Village at Ayers Rock National Park in Australia.
