Pre-Vet Advising

Veterinary school admission is highly competitive and course requirements vary among institutions. Applicants are encouraged to visit the institutions' websites and/or representatives for each school.

There are tremendous resources available to assist Clemson students with the advising, resources, and experience necessary to become uniquely competitive veterinary school applicants.

  • South Carolina Resident Contract Seats

As the state of South Carolina does not currently have a veterinary school enrolling students, there are contract seats negotiated for SC residents at three institutions. These institutions provide limited seats and contracted tuition rates for citizens and are not reserved for any specific SC college, university, or major. Contract seats will no longer be offered once the Clemson University College of Veterinary Medicine begins enrolling students.
