Education
MA in Foreign Languages & Literature, University of Memphis (2012); B.A. in Spanish and French
Research interest: Second language acquisition, phonetics, translation, interpretation and neurolinguistics. Ana Paula Miller is originally from São Paulo, Brazil. She came to the United States in 2005 to further her education. She followed her passions for foreign languages which lead her to earn her B.A. in Spanish and French from Union University in 2009 followed by her M.A. in Foreign Languages & Literature with concentration in Spanish from University of Memphis in 2012. Prior to Clemson, she had the opportunity to teach foreign language to both secondary level students as well as college level students. Professor Miller has a special interest in translation, interpretation, second language acquisition, phonetics, as well as neurolinguistics. In the past, she volunteered to interpret and translate for medical teams in the Dominican Republic, Brazil as well as for college students on Mission trips to Honduras.
