Dr. Citro holds a PhD from the University of Georgia and an MFA from the University of Notre Dame. His interests include creative writing, modernism in the long twentieth century, narrative, poetry, and performance. He specializes in teaching 2000-level literature courses, particularly in creative writing and world literature; recent courses have focused on the uncanny, the literature of exile, the folk base in American literature, dreams, and the invitation of form. He is the author of the chapbooks Seas/Horse (Opo Books & Objects) and Just Now the Wallop (Mud Luscious Press). He is a Senior Lecturer in the department and a recipient of 2021 Holman Teaching Award.
