Kelly Sauskojus is a Postdoctoral Fellow with interests in community engagement, grantwriting, and food justice. Since moving to Knoxville in 2019 to begin their PhD in rhetoric, writing and linguistics, they have contributed to numerous local urban agriculture and community garden nonprofits in Knoxville, growing and distributing produce, teaching community classes, organizing volunteers, fundraising, and co-writing over $100,000 in winning grants from a variety of sectors. She currently serves on the board for BattleField Farms, a Black-led grassroots urban farm and food justice organization, and looks looks forward to continuing more community-engaged food justice work at Clemson.
