Emilia McGuinness Getzinger is a first-year MA student and Graduate Teaching Assistant. She obtained her BFA in Theatre Performance and Minor in History from Baylor University, where she participated in the Baylor Interdisciplinary Core Honors Program. She has spent the past few years working as a tour guide in Waco, TX and an Assistant English Teacher in Almedinilla, Córdoba, Spain.

Emilia is interested in the religious landscape of the American South during Reconstruction and focuses on doctrinal changes in churches in the former Confederacy following Emancipation. She is interested in Public History, especially as it relates to historical tour design.
