John Pursley is a Principal Lecturer at Clemson University, where he teaches introductory classes in creative writing (poetry & fiction), 20th & 21st Century Literature, and directs the Clemson Literary Festival. He also serves as an assistant poetry editor for the South Carolina Review. He is the author of the poetry collections, If You Have Ghosts, A Story without Poverty, Supposing, for Instance, Here in the Space-Time Continuum, A Conventional Weather, and When, by the Titanic. He also likes to write reviews and essays when time allows.
