Beginning Class Guitar, Intermediate Class Guitar

Guitarist and chamber musician Steve Newbrough serves as a Applied Lecturer of Guitar at Clemson University. An eclectic musician, Steve has enjoyed performing in a variety of ­different genres including electric guitar with gospel choirs, abstract twentieth-century music with dancers, solo classical guitar, and touring the country as part of the internationally-acclaimed Minneapolis Guitar Quartet. Steve began his guitar studies with Gordon Kreplin in Elizabeth City, NC. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts as a student of Joseph Pecoraro. In 2008, Steve received his Master of Music Degree in Classical Guitar Performance under Je­ffrey Van at the University of Minnesota. As well as serving on the faculty of Clemson, he also teaches at Furman University and he is the director of the Summit Academy of Music, an arts organization serving the WNC region. His latest endeavor is videoguitarglossary.com, a source for quick and accurate definitions of music terms.
