Jen M. Jones is currently a second-year doctoral candidate specializing in Digital History and serves as a Metadata Specialist at Clemson University Libraries. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of South Carolina Upstate and her Master of Library and Information Science from Valdosta State University. Her research primarily focuses on Southern history and the localized history of South Carolina, with particular attention to themes such as the Lost Cause narrative, Reconstruction, and the processes of industrialization evident in the Southern United States.

Jones has a distinct interest in the cultural dynamics of mill towns and the evolution of the textile industry. She explores the interplay between economic development and social structures in these communities, contributing significantly to the scholarly discourse on Southern history and its socio-economic transformations. Her work offers critical insights into historical narratives and cultural dynamics within the Southern United States, enhancing the understanding of this historically significant region.
