Student Health Insurance Plan:

Clemson University offers a comprehensive Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP), administered by BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS) of South Carolina. The SHIP is available to eligible students, legal spouses and dependents of students at competitive premiums.

Students that are considered mandatory will find the student insurance charge on their tuition bill.  The charge does not mean you are enrolled, YOU MUST ACTIVATE YOUR INSURANCE BEFORE UTILIZING FOR SERVICES!  Review the Student Health Insurance Plan page for additional information and to activate insurance.

PLEASE ACTIVATE YOUR STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE BEFORE SCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS AT REDFERN TO ENSURE THERE IS NO DELAY IN TREATMENT.

Required Immunization and TB Screening Questionnaire:

All forms should be submitted prior to July 1 for Summer/Fall enrollment and December 1 for Spring enrollment.  Students not in compliance with the immunization requirements may have a hold placed on future registrations and may be subject to a late fee.

Student Immunization Forms – Obtain a verified** copy of your immunization record and upload completed documents in MyHealth-e. Please ensure all documents are translated before submitting.

  • Log in to MyHealth-e using your Clemson username and password.
  • Click “Medical Clearances” to upload your documents and enter vaccine dates.

Tuberculosis Risk Assessment Questionnaire – Complete this questionnaire in the MyHealth-e portal.

  • Quantiferon Gold for TB compliance must be completed in the U.S.
  • A “Yes” response on any question requires a TB blood test.

Appointments – Your immunizations and Quantiferon Gold needed for compliance may be scheduled in MyHealth-e. Schedule your appointment after August 1 for Fall and January 1 for Spring if you have the Student Health Insurance Plan.

ACTIVATE YOUR STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE AND UPLOAD ANY VERIFIED IMMUNIZATION DOCUMENTATION BEFORE ARRIVING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT.
