ProfileDr. Bob Brookover is the Coordinator of Online and Enterprise Programs in the Department of PRTM. He holds his undergraduate and master’s degrees in PRTM and a Ph.D. in Education Leadership – Higher Education Administration from Clemson University. He began his career in Campus Recreation at Clemson where he was the Director of Facilities and Outdoor Programs before moving into his faculty position in the PRTM Department. During his time in the department, his work has focused on engaging with a variety of public, private, and non-profit recreation and tourism agencies throughout the country by completing strategic/master planning, economic impact/return on investment, cost recovery, and other applied research and consulting studies and reports (40 technical reports since 2015). He has made 19 conference presentations since 2018, 11 of which were invited. In addition to his undergraduate teaching experience, Dr. Brookover’s recent teaching has included graduate level courses in finance, politics/policy, strategic planning, and administration/leadership. His extensive service to the field and his community currently includes serving a 3-year term as the Co-Chair of the National Research Symposium (NRS) for NRPA, which focuses on translating research to practice, and he was elected to a four-year term on City Council in Clemson in November of 2020. | |
