Marisa K. Orr joined the department in 2016 following appointments as Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Louisiana Tech University and postdoctoral researcher in the School of Engineering Education at Purdue University. Dr. Orr teaches integrated Dynamics and Statics. Her research focuses on student progress, persistence, and pathways using longitudinal student data from the Multi-Institution Database For Investigating Engineering Longitudinal Development (MIDFIELD). Dr. Orr recently received an NSF Early Career Development (CAREER) grant to support her research in student decision-making.
