The WEC is recruiting partners into an industrial affiliates program (IAP), including engineering consulting firms, utilities/operators, and manufacturers/companies along the entire industrial value chain of water and energy technologies and systems. Each IAP member will nominate one person to serve on the WEC Industrial Affiliates Board (IAB). Upon its formation, the WEC IAB will meet annually with WEC Management and Fellows to provide input on ongoing WEC research and industrially relevant research topics. The WEC is also well-positioned to respond to the inquiry needs of individual IAP members. Interested potential industrial partners may contact Gary Amy.
The WEC is interested in developing strategic partnerships with academic and research institutions to pursue targeted funding proposals and opportunities. Such partnerships are necessary to create critical mass and expertise niches to pursue large research center initiatives.
In response to recent initiatives, we are collaborating with the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, University of Southern California, University of Texas - Austin, National University of Singapore, Korea University, and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). However, such fluid partnerships vary according to the specific initiative and expertise niches required. We envision our partnership program as a dynamic research network seeking additional members. Interested potential research-institution partners may contact Gary Amy.
