-
Will I get to register for Housing early?
Yes. If you choose to live in a living-learning community, like RISE, you will be able to register for housing before students who are not selecting a living-learning community on the housing application. Housing Application dates can be found on the Clemson Housing page.
-
What about roommates?
You may select another first-year student as a roommate, and both must be in the RISE program.
The RISE program-specific application offers a space for you to share if you’ve found a roommate already. Note that this is not required and will not impact your application status.
-
Can I be in Honors and RISE?
Yes. Honors students can participate in RISE as a first-time first-year student. If you choose to be a RISE student, you will live in Mickel Hall, also in West Campus, with the Honors facilities. You will have the added benefit of having access to both Honors and RISE program services, events, and activities.
-
Do students in RISE participate in other clubs and activities?
Yes. You can find RISE students in organizations across campus—from athletics to Tiger Band to Greek Life to discipline-specific honors societies.
-
What does the RISE fee cover?
RISE offers a unique range of services and events. The fee helps cover the cost of in-hall tutoring services, workshops and events, leadership development opportunities, special course offerings, faculty partnerships, and support staff. The $750 per semester fee is an all-inclusive fee for participation in the program. This fee will show on the student’s tuition bill each semester.
