Frequently Asked Questions

RISE FAQ

RISE is a unique residential community that supports first-year STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) students in the College of Engineering, Computing, and Applied Sciences and the College of Science.

  • How and when (deadlines) do I apply to the RISE program?

Your application to CLEMSON RISE is separate from (and in addition to) your housing application and contract with Clemson Home.

Your first step is to complete your New Student Housing Application and indicate interest in joining RISE; you will receive an automatic email with a link to access the RISE program-specific application. Please check both the email you applied to the University with and your newly assigned Clemson email address throughout the selection process.

The RISE program-specific application will be the primary application reviewed for acceptance into the program.

  • What about roommates?

You may select another first-year student as a roommate; both roommates must apply and be accepted into the RISE program.
