Clinical Learning Laboratory
Edwards Hall
The Clemson site of instruction in Edwards Hall consists of a large classroom with seating capacity for 32; three skills rooms each with four hospital beds and functioning headwall units; four newly renovated, fully equipped simulation rooms, three adult high-fidelity simulators– one birthing mom, neonate high fidelity simulators as well as an infant high-fidelity simulator; and three newly renovated debriefing/conference rooms. The CLL consists of approximately 5,000 square feet of instructional space.
Learning Resource Center (LRC)
The LRC in 203 Edwards Hall provides equipment and educational resources and collaborative learning space for faculty, staff, and student use. The front help desk is staffed with an LRC student worker during normal operation hours. Hours vary by semester and the center is closed for all University staff holidays.
Clemson University Nursing building, Greenville
The Clemson University Nursing building, the Greenville site of instruction, offers a hospital-like environment consisting of six skills rooms each with four hospital beds and functioning headwall units; four fully equipped simulation rooms; three adult high-fidelity simulators– one birthing mom, neonate high fidelity simulators as well as an infant high-fidelity simulator; three debriefing/conference rooms and a large classroom with seating capacity for 72. Through this collaboration, the simulation lab space and equipment in the Clemson University Nursing building contributes to the expansion of the Greenville HealthCare Simulation Center, a multidisciplinary center serving the University of South Carolina (USC) School of Medicine Greenville and other Prisma-affiliated teaching programs, as well as community-based health care providers and workforce development and pipeline programs. The combined simulation laboratories in the USC School of Medicine Greenville and Clemson University Nursing building will represent one of the largest simulation centers in the country at approximately 30,000 square feet.
