In-Lab
ASTM D5338-D6400
Your sample, which will include 3 replicates, will be compared to a base compost and cellulose paper for a comprehensive evaluation. The compost measurements will include initial and final pH, C/N ratio, moisture content, initial volatile organic carbon content, and ash content. For the sample you provided, we’ll conduct FTIR measurements. The primary analysis period spans 45 days, with an optional extension of an additional 45 days if needed. A full disintegration analysis will be conducted, and a comprehensive report will be provided when completed. Weekly results are also available upon request, culminating in a final report with all findings.

In-Vessel | RA
Your project includes a live feedstock of Clemson Dining waste, which is processed through a twin-chamber in-vessel composter, allowing for both controlled and variable testing conditions. Initial results are available after four weeks, with data extending to 12 weeks for comparison. Full-scale sample feedstock is monitored closely, with temperature logging available. Comprehensive compost analytics, including VOC levels, C/N ratio, and pH values, are available for a deeper understanding of the composting process. Additionally, we conduct disintegration analysis and provide a detailed final report to summarize findings and insights.

By using a small-scale compost setup, such as a dual-chamber bin, you can test how food scraps, like vegetable peels, coffee grounds, and eggshells, break down over time.
