About the Pennell Center
The Pennell Center was founded in 2009 by a generous gift from Rick Pennell, president and CEO of Metromont Corp., in honor of his father. The center supports the research, teaching and outreach activities of faculty and students in the design, planning and building disciplines within the College of Architecture, Arts and Humanities at Clemson University.
The Pennell Center supports undergraduate and master’s programs in architecture, landscape architecture and construction science and management, in addition to master’s programs in city and regional planning, historic preservation, real estate development and resilient urban design, and a Ph.D. program in planning, development and the built environment.
